Along side our good friend and amazing photographer Brea McDonald, Beautiful Days owner and creative director Kate Martin is highlighted as one of  Maine’s finest!  Kate offers a bit of advice and some overall background on Beautiful Days.

Beautiful Days created the flowers for a fantastic Portsmouth, New Hampshire wedding at Strawbery Banke.

And how great that a Beautiful Days inspiration shoot captured by Geneve Hoffman was highlighted as well! We dug through our treasure trove of special props and decor to create this romantic and rustic table inspiration and how gorgeous is the early fall light?!

A few other Beautiful Days details were included to inspire bride’s as they plan their rustic wedding celebration…a wedding bouquet (bottom left) and barn door draping ad paper lanterns from some of our past weddings.

Courtney and Jesse’s ‘s Laudholm Farm fall wedding in Wells, Maine was one of our all time favorites! Amazing vendors…David Murray, Aurora Provisions, Be Our Guest, The Flashdance DJ, Chairman of the Board, Hair That Moves, Just Bee , MacKenzie Brown,  Motorland Vintage America…amazing couple and an amazing night! We had such a great time planning, and designing, and creating the flowers, decor and lighting for this very special celebration.

Kim and Michael’s wedding at the oh so chic and special Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport was a fabulous mix of infusing the bride’s urban vibe with the rustic setting of an end of the summer celebration. Helping to guide the vision of the day, provide planning and coordination support and especially creating the flowers was truly a joy…it also helps when it’s captured beautifully by Leigh at Nadra Photography!

And what a bonus to have Johnny and Sarah’s super sweet mid summer Biddeford Pool celebration highlighted! Such a lovely wedding and we were so pleased to provide day of coordination for the wedding day …a gorgeous seaside ceremony at a family home followed by a fun filled reception at the Abenakee Golf Club catered by the always fab Aurora Provisions and captured wonderfully by the lovely and super talented Meredith Perdue.

I was inspired by the gorgeous linen from La Tavola and just let everything fall into place from there! The table is all at once bright, light, textured and earthy … I could sit at that table for hours for a mid summers alfresco celebration with some of my favorite people! What a fun afternoon especially when David Murray is taking the photos! Special thanks to Be Our Guest for the event rentals and La Tavola for the table linens, napkins, seat covers and pillows.

A boutonniere we created for the shoot was featured too….a sweet and lovely gathering of woodland anemone, green strawberries and geranium leaf…so perfect for the garden setting!

And what a bonus to see this beautiful Kennebunkort Resort Collection ad highlighting a wedding Beautiful Days was a part of! The event barn at Hidden Pond is at the top of my “very special venues” list! Gorgeous photo from Nadra Photography.

It was an amazing experience working with the fabulous and creative team at Country Living especially Jourdan Fairchild  who first saw our work on The Sweetest Occasion blog and wrote the feature. The photographer John Dolan is truly an amazing talent and made us all feel so comfortable as he captured the day. I learned so much from the equally amazing food stylist Alison Attenborough. And I was fortunate enough to have my first “stylist” credit -working along side the editors at the magazine to develop the look, feel and special details of the shoot – I think the hand stenciled linen table cloth was one of my favorite projects! But some of the most special details were the sweaters worn by Wyatt and three of his cousins that were knit by their great grandma. And we have all had a good laugh at the fact that my brother’s dog stole the show! Be sure to grab your copy and get inspired for your family fun this winter!
A very special thanks to Beautiful Days’ Tyler McGinley for helping me keep everything together all day and to Lucky Bums for loaning out the perfect toboggans.
Cannot wait to do it again…I’m already conjuring up thoughts of a summer family bash that includes homemade lemonade, fruit ices, water balloon games and a hike through the woods for a swim in the pond!

The gold and silver foil stars were perfect hanging from the beams, sparkling away as they caught the candlelight.

“Merry Everything” is just the perfect sentiment for the time of year…spelled out in gold glitter of course!

I fell in love with the combination of the evergreens, grapevine accents and magnolia leafs with pops of gold pine cones.

My glittery deer are always out for the holidays… they put me in the spirit right away.

Keeping warm by the fire gets a little cozier with more candles!

Thank goodness my husband is always game to take on hanging decorations from the beams! I couldn’t do it with out him!

On the menu? Prosecco, tequila and St Germaine punch.

I painted some driftwood pieces with some gold acrylic paint to continue the earthy vibe while still keeping the festive golden glow.

I definitely get busy in the kitchen and love making bites like herbed cheese, pickled beets and pea shoots on endive delights – they tasted as good as they looked!

Can’t wait for next year!

Caitlin’s gorgeous bridal bouquet full of peonies, dahlias, garden roses and freesia and delphiniums was perfect for the season and setting. And what is not to love about a boy and his best friend?!

There is really nothing wrong with the York Harbor  as the backdrop to a perfect summer seaside ceremony.

For the bridesmaids- creamy and dreamy  bouquets of pink peonies and hydrangea to compliment their adorable seersucker dresses.

Each table had elements of Maritime and coastal touches.  Rope, navy striped grosgrain ribbons, and of course lobsters highlighted by the beautiful work of Griffin-vites!

So thankful to Patrick McNamara Photography for the all great shots of a truly beautiful coastal Maine wedding.  Congrats Caitlin & Max!!
